Obtaining Certified Copies of Marriage Certificates The California Department of Public Health – Vital Records (CDPH-VR) can ONLY provide certified copies of certificates for public marriages that occurred in the years: - 1905 to 1999 - 2008 to 2023 CDPH-VR is not able to provide certified copies of certificates for the years 2000 through 2007.
